Licensed Clinical Psychologist
ABOUT ME
Dr. Ng obtained her doctorate in clinical psychology from the New School for Social Research. Her training experience includes externships at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Medical Center, Brooklyn College Counseling Center, NYU Langone- Brooklyn, and Coney Island Hospital. She completed her pre- doctoral training at Northwell Health- Zucker Hillside Hospital where she provided individual psychotherapy, group psychotherapy and psychological assessments to patients on the inpatient unit, partial hospitalization and geriatric outpatient services.

After her training, Dr. Ng was employed at NYPD and NYU Langone before starting her own private practice. At NYPD, she conducted fitness for duty evaluations, undercover screenings, military and trauma debriefings and disqualification appeals for candidates (NOPD). Additionally, she testified in CSC court. At NYU Langone, Dr. Ng provided psychotherapy to children, adolescents and adults with a range of general mental health concerns. She has experience working with high risk patients and the severely mentally ill.

Dr. Ng is bilingual and can provide services in Chinese (Cantonese) and English.

SERVICES
FORENSIC AND CLINICAL ASSESSMENTS
Dr. Ng conducts both forensic and clinical psychological assessments. Forensic assessments include fitness for duty, law enforcement screenings, and NYPD candidate appeals. She has experience testifying in CSC court. She also offers clinical assessments includes cognitive testing and personality testing.
INDIVIDUAL PSYCHOTHERAPY
Dr. Ng offers individual and family psychotherapy. She draws from her psychodynamic background and evidence based treatments. She utilizes techniques from CBT, DBT and IPT.  She specializes in treating anxiety, depression, and mood disorders.
CONSULTATION
This includes a consultant phone call to assess your needs. Additionally, referrals will be provided when necessary.

DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE?
Dr. Ng is in network with Aetna. A superbill can be provided for OON insurance. She also accepts self-pay including cash, check, Venmo, Paypal and all major credit cards.
DO YOU OFFER SLIDING SCALE RATES?
Yes, Dr. Ng typically charges $200 dollars per individual psychotherapy session. Psychological assessment fees vary depending on the referral question and report.

CONSULTATION
An initial phone consultation is free of charge. During the consultation, Dr. Ng will assess your needs. If it is not a good fit, she will provide the necessary referrals.
